Did you know that Carnival Cruise Lines offers one of the best golf vacation package for Golf Cruise Vacations?  I just returned from a trip to the Bahamas on the Carnival Sensation.My wifes ideas of a family vacation is spending all your time with the family and the trip was planned by her so you can bet that me Golfing was the last thing on her mind. Even if she thought about it, she was thinking about how she could keep me away from the Golf Attractions.  As we set out on our Bahamas Cruise Vacation, I knew very little about the ship we were traveling on and I had no clue that there was a Golf Course right there on the ship just waiting for me to tee up!  Yes, the ship has a real Golf Course right on the top floor.

During our visit to the Atlantis Resort at Paradise Island, I found out my vacation could have included some a great day of Golf.I was having a great time with my family So, don’t get me wrong, I would not trade this quality time for anything.  But, I would have loved to squeeze in a few rounds of Golf.  The Atlantis Resort at Paradise Island has some great Golfing options that my wife seemed to leave out of her planning.  While talking with another dad on the beach, I found out that I was not only missing out on some great golf on the island, but I was also missing out on the ship.  The Carnival Sensation from port Canaveral has its own little Golf course on board and I had no clue.

I knew I would not be able to break away for golf there on the Island but I had in my mind that I would get my chance at Golf on the Sensation.  After returning to the ship, I met up with the Cruise director and she gave me all of the details of where this Golf Course was located and what I needed to do to get in the game.At that time I didn’t know just how hard it would be to get some free time for a little round of Golf. It was like one of those dreams where you know what you want to do and you keep trying but can’t ever get where your planning to go.  There were 2 days left on my trip and every time I had a chance I made my way toward to Lido Deck to try to get in a round or two.Every time I tried to make a break for it, I ran into my family and for the remainder of the trip I had no luck at breaking away to enjoy a round of Golf.

I am telling this story to help other husbands and dads in advance of their Cruise.  If you are going to travel, you want to do your homework.  Find out if the Cruise Line offers any Golf Vacation Packages.You need to get this information before you leave and try to talk your wife into letting you break away for a couple of rounds.

I wanted to make sure that any other men that are headed out on a cruise planned by their wife would get this information.
